Robin J. Sacks
A lifetime writer, Robin's professional writing journey began in 1997 when her one-act comedy play, 48 Hours to Idaho, came in 3rd in the nation in a Writer’s Digest contest. It was the first time she had ever entered a writing contest, as well as the first time she had ever received money for her writing. That play went on to be performed by 2 theater companies. After that, Robin rarely put down down her pen.
A lifetime performer, after working in theater and writing for comedy groups for 9 years, Robin spent 6 years employed by radio and television news stations (including NBC and ABC affiliates). She wrote and brought to life over the airwaves and on camera, creative, informative, and educational material daily for both newscasts and specialty programs (for which she has received multiple honors and awards including Best News Piece of the Year from the Wyoming Broadcasters Association). Robin's television series, Days Gone By, was the recipient of a prestigious award from the Wyoming Historical Society in 2002.
As a mentor, Robin has trained 2 Emmy Award-nominated newscasters, as well as 1 Emmy Award-winning newscaster.
After leaving the news-media industry by choice at the end of 2003, Robin took on a position as the Director of Marketing for a firm in the healthcare industry, for which she wrote all internal and external marketing copy for 4 years.
Robin has been published in several print publications, including Relax Magazine, the Cleveland Women's Journal, and Wyoming Magazine, for which she wrote an historical series for 2 years.
